Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to the questions we get the most often.

👥 WHY SHOULD I JOIN WHEN THERE IS SO MUCH ELSE OUT THERE?

The Eat Blog Talk platform is the only place where building an uplifting community is the first priority. We value learning and teaching, but everything we do comes from the standpoint of how we can create a place where people in the food blogging community can belong. You can read more in our vision & values statement.

💵 WHAT DOES IT COST?

Eat Blog Talk offers amazing value for free in the forum and our podcast. When looking at the best way to provide even more value to food bloggers, we decided a membership platform was the best way to go.

There are other resources and groups online that are free, but there’s no place like the Eat Blog Talk community platform! Here you can take making connections to the next level by being involved in mastermind groups, taking challenges, asking questions in the forum, receiving exclusive VALUABLE content and even (gasp) being able to promote your own content and services without shame or guilt!

If you wish to have access to all the goodies within our membership, the investment is $16.99/month or $170/year (17% savings for annual sign-ups!).

WHO CREATED THIS PLATFORM?

The EBT community platform was created by Megan Porta (food blogger at Pip and Ebby) and Bethany Smith (UX design expert at Food Blog Usability and Cadia Marketing). Both of them were already immersed in the world of food blogging and recognized a huge need for a platform like this one.

The platform runs on WordPress and is built utilizing the BuddyBoss theme and plugin which allows for more social and community integrations.

👎 WHAT IF IT’S NOT A GOOD FIT?

Membership can be canceled at any time, and you can check it out for one month free using the “1monthfree” discount code at checkout!

If you wish to cancel within the first 30 days, you will receive a full refund. (Please contact us through our support form for any refunds.)

After the first 30 days, due to the nature of the platform, you will continue to have access to the site until your current billing period ends. Months/years are not prorated.

💯 CAN I LEARN MORE ABOUT THE MASTERMIND GROUPS?

Mastermind groups provide an opportunity for direct collaboration with peers, which will move you into a new level of success with your business quickly.

Within the Eat Blog Talk mastermind program, you will be put into a group of about five of your peers. Eat Blog Talk will provide ideas for topics each week, but it’s really up to your group leader and other participants to discuss what will be most helpful to you.

Each week you’ll have a few questions to talk over provided by EBT. We ask that your group picks a day of the week as “discussion day” and then you’ll come and join a  text-based discussion hosted on this platform on that day and throughout the week.

We will have three sessions per year – fall, winter, and spring. They will all run for about eight weeks.

Registration is closed for the fall session. Registration for the winter session will open in December 2020.

The goal is for you to have a group of peers who you can go to for support and community. For more information about mastermind groups, visit the mastermind page.

🌎 IS THE PLATFORM GEARED TOWARD JUST U.S. RESIDENTS OR CAN INTERNATIONAL BLOGGERS JOIN, TOO?

The platform is not exclusive just to U.S. residents. No matter where you are at in the world, you can become a part of the EBT community!

💥 IS THIS COMMUNITY ONLY FOR NEWER BLOGGERS OR WILL MORE EXPERIENCED BLOGGERS BENEFIT, AS WELL?

The EBT community platform is geared toward bloggers of all experience levels. There is something for everyone waiting inside!

📫 WILL I RECEIVE A WEEKLY EMAIL WITH THE LATEST NEWS ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON INSIDE THE PLATFORM?

We will send out weekly emails with the latest information and updates, so you won’t miss a thing!

🎤 IS THERE A SPOT INSIDE THE PLATFORM WHERE I CAN PROMOTE MY OWN SERVICES FOR BLOGGERS?

Yes! Not only is this a platform for food bloggers, but it is also a platform for people/businesses who support food bloggers. Inside the platform, there is a service providers and resources directory where you can promote your offerings to bloggers!

You can also share your “wins” within the specified forum category, so no more holding back with sharing the things you’re proud of!
